A highly skilled and experienced professional in the field, Dr. Lorena Lemaire-Palomino received her extensive dental training from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry International Program. Continuing to refine her expertise for over 20 years now, Dr. Lemaire-Palomino is dedicated to keeping up with the latest advancements in preventive, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and is proud to have built strong relationships with multiple generations of her patient’s families while providing exceptional quality dental care in Pilsen. Serving the Pilson community and nearby Little Italy and Lower West Side areas since 2004, when Dr. Lemaire-Palomino isn’t at work she loves to go hiking in the outdoors with her husband, with their two Boston Terriers tagging along.
Dr. Lemaire-Palomino emphasizes a preventative approach to dental care, encouraging her patients to come by for periodic checkups and teeth cleanings. By keeping a close eye on her patient’s teeth, gums and jaws, especially in developing children, Dr. Lemaire-Palomino can spot any oral health conditions early on, when they’re the easiest to treat. For our pediatric patients, professional instruction in the proper techniques for brushing and flossing are provided, along with the application of dental sealants and periodic fluoride treatments. Dental sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the biting surface of the back molars. By sealing off the deep ridges of these back teeth, the bacteria found in plaque have less space to accumulate and cause dental decay. With fluoride treatments, an extra level of defense is applied to the surface of the teeth, making it hard for bacteria to latch on and erode the enamel. Both treatments are preventative measures strongly encouraged by the American Dental Association. Dr. Lemaire-Palomino is dedicated to providing the necessary education for your children to understand and value the importance of good dental hygiene habits. She is enthusiastic about teaching you and your children the proper methods for blushing and flossing to establish and maintain excellent oral health for years to come.
